- Abstract
- In 2008 Solila was protected as Special Nature Reserve, in order to preserve rare, threatened and endangered plant and animal species, predominantly birds and plant communities. The area of Solila is approx 140ha, in 2013 this reserve was enlisted on the List of wetlands of international significance of the Ramsar Convention. Since 2014, this Special Reserve is managed by the Public Enterprise for Coastal Zone Management of Montenegro. Data on Tivat Salina, as the second Ramsar site in Montenegro, are provided in the frame of Ramsar Information Sheet, RIS at the site.
